Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 9/8/16
9/8 is day of Water Snake in the month of Fire Rooster. This is a clash combination. It resolves difficulties, and favors artistic talent and metaphysical researches.
The day is designated as inauspicious and successful. Because of that it reduces the importance of the day, but is still good for such things as marriage, moving house, beginning construction, starting business, and traveling.
A success day is generally for all ventures requiring positive outcomes, such as submitting legal proposals, seeking medical treatment, and so on.
The lunar mansion of this day is Don, or The Dipper. This is a star of wealth, and literary success. It is good to have this star present for key fengshui activities such as door placement and water placement, especially for business places.
Snake, the sign of this day, is the Traveling Star for Pig, Rabbit, and Sheep. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs, this is a good day for clearing your home, moving forward in your career, and traveling.
Snake favors Rooster, Ox, Snake, Horse, and Sheep; is neutral toward Dog, Rat, Rabbit, and Dragon; and clashes with Monkey, Pig, and Tiger.
The I Ching Hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 16, line 1.
Hexagram 16 is Yu, Joy. It is time to obtain helpers and set armies marching. This hexagram is good in summer and fall.
Line 1 Yu that is expressed too much brings bad luck. Action speaks louder than words. The zodiac signs of line one, Sheep and Rabbit, are harmonious together, but weak by the element of the season and, by with the element of the hexagram, represent money. Sheep and Rabbit are in harmony with the signs of changing line 3 and the sign of the day, but clash with the sign of the month. If surrounded with gossip, retire. The Water of Water Snake day puts a tortoise in line 1. Tortoise says to keep your affairs private, and not to let yourself be used.
