Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 12/14/16

12/14 is the day of Metal Horse in the month of Metal Rat. This is a dangerous combination. It can cause sudden reversals and upsets. It favors independence and artistic talent.
This day is designated as inauspicious and destruction. Major activities should not be undertaken. While activities of minor importance can be.
A destruction day is good for demolitions, and for removing something via medical procedure.
The lunar mansion is Can, Orion. This is good for fengshui related activities.
If you were born in a year or day of Snake, Rooster, or Ox, this is a good day for romantic affairs.
If you were born in a year or day of Tiger, Horse, or Dog, this is a good day for work.
Horse, the sign for this day, is harmonious with Dog, Tiger, Snake, and Sheep; neutral with Monkey, Rooster, Pig, Rabbit, and Dragon; and clashes with Rat, Ox, and Horse.
The I Ching hexagram, using the King Wen method, is number 45, line 2.

Hexagram 45 is Cai, Gathering. Success. The king approaches his temple. Advantageous to see the great man; then there will be success. Great sacrifices generate good fortune. It is advantageous to strive for a goal.

Line 2 Letting yourself be drawn is good luck and blameless. If you are sincere, it is good luck to bring even a small donation. The zodiac sign for line 2 is Snake. By the element of the season, Snake is weak. By the element of the hexagram, Snake signifies power. Snake is in harmony with the signs of changing line, 6, and with the sign for the day. And Snake is neutral with the sign of the month. Double Fire threatens Water. The Metal of Metal Horse day puts a tortoise in line 2. Tortoise means privacy and extreme caution.
