Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 12/29/16

12/29 is the day of Wood Rooster in the lunar month of Metal Ox. This is the first day of the lunar month. This is a clash combination, that favors speculation.
This day is designated as inauspicious and receive. It is bad for renovations. launching a business, travel, moving house, marriage, and so on.
A receive day is normally good for attaining or asking for something. But being an inauspicious day, use caution.
The lunar mansion is Dou, the Dipper. It is the star of wealth and literary success. Also good for all fengshui alignments.
Rooster, the sign of this day, is in harmony with Ox, Snake, Monkey, and Dragon; neutral with Pig, Rat, Tiger, Horse, and Sheep, clashes with Rooster, and Rabbit; and is ambivalent with Dog.
The I Ching hexagram, using the King Wen method, is number 9, line 1.

Hexagram 9 is Xiaoxu, Small Saving. Success. There are heavy clouds, but no rain comes from the east.

Line 1. Returning to the way. No blame. Good luck. The zodiac sign for line 1 is Rat. By the element of the season, Rat is strong. By the element of the hexagram, Rat signifies resources. Rat is neutral and in harmony with the signs of changing line, 2, neutral toward the sign of the day, and in harmony with the sign of the month. It is good to contemplate or reflect. The Wood of Wood Rooster day puts a dragon in line 1. This is auspicious. Action that comes from reflection is good.
