Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 12/20/16

12/20 is the day of Fire Rat in the month of Metal Rat. This is a clash combination. It points to problematic issues of authority.
This day is designated inauspicious and establish. Major projects done this day will have problematic or disastrous consequences.
An establish day is good for visiting friends to discuss business plans or marriage.
The lunar mansion is Yi, the Wing. It is a negative star, good for nothing.
Rat, the sign of this day, is in harmony with Rat, Dragon, Monkey, Ox, and Pig; neutral with Tiger, Snake, Rooster, and Dog; clashes with Rabbit and Horse, and ambivalent with Sheep.
The I Ching hexagram, using the King Wen method, is number 47, line 1.

Hexagram 47 is Kun, Oppression. There is success in perseverance. The great man brings luck. No blame. When you have something to say, no one listens to you.

Line 1 warns against despondency. The zodiac sign of line 1 is Tiger. By the element of the season, Tiger is strong. By the element of the hexagram, Tiger signifies money. Tiger is harmonious with the signs of changing line, 3, and neutral with the signs of the day and month. Bridge over heavenly waters. Prospects are illusory. The Fire of Fire Rat day puts a raven in line 1. The raven signifies jealousy and quarreling.
