Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 12/4/16

12/4 is the day of Metal Monkey in the lunar month of Metal Rat. This is a harmonious combination. It favors all talent related professions.
This day is signified as dire and receive. It is not good for major activities, as the Qi is very weak.
A receive day is a day to ask for something, a day for attaining something.
The lunar mansion is Xu, Void. It is a negative say and warns of illness.
Monkey, the sign of this day, is in harmony with Monkey, Rat, Dragon, Rooster, and Dog; neutral toward Ox, Rabbit, Horse, and Sheep; and clashes with Pig, Tiger, and Snake.
The I Ching hexagram, using the King Wen method, is number 18, line 3.

Hexagram 18 is Gu, Decay. Supreme success is possible. It is time to cross the great water. Before you start, three days pass. After you start, another three day pass.

Line 3 Correcting what has been spoiled by the father, there are some bad feelings, but nothing serious. The zodiac sign of line 3 is Rooster. By the element of the season, Rooster is weak but in harmony. By the element of the hexagram, Rooster signifies power. Rooster clashes with the signs of changing line, 6, and is in harmony with the sign of the day, and neutral toward the sign of the month. Much Metal generates Water. Conditions are ideal. The Metal of Metal Monkey day puts a dragon in line 3. Despite the dire readings, this is a good day to take positive action.
