Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 5/14/17

5/14 is the day of Metal Ox in the month of Wood Snake. This is a clashing combination. It favors Government.
This day is designated as inauspicious and successful. Do not engage in major works today. This day promises legal entanglements, disputes, and the interference of petty minded, malicious people if you do.
A success day multiplies the effects of whatever you do. Considering the inauspicious nature of the day, consider what you do.
The lunar mansion is Fang, House. This is good for prayers and religious activities.
If you were born in a year or day of Snake, Rooster, or Ox, this is a good day for creative work.
Ox, the sign of the day, is in harmony with Ox, Snake, Rooster, Rat, and Pig; neutral with Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Monkey, and Dog; and clashes with Horse and Sheep.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 15, line 5.

Hexagram 15 is Qian, Modesty. Success. The superior man successfully carries matters out to completion.

Line 5 Modest dealings with neighbors. Everything contributes to success, even attacking with force. The zodiac sign of the day is Pig. By the element of the season, Pig is weak. By the element of the hexagram, Pig signifies your creative or business interests. Pig is mostly in harmony with the signs of changing lines, 1, 2, and 3, and with the sign of the day, but clashes with the sign of the month. The elements are in a non-productive relationship. Study the laws of fortune. The Metal of Metal Ox day puts an earthworm in line 5. You have to deal with obstacles now. Go slowly.
