Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 5/20/17

5/20 is the day of Fire Sheep in the month of Wood Snake. This is a harmonious combination. It favors independence and competitiveness.
This day is designated as inauspicious and full. It is not good for starting major projects.
A full day is exactly what it sounds like: much to do.
The lunar mansion is Nu, the Weaving Maiden. This is an excellent asterism for academic and literary pursuits.
If you were born in a year or day of Pig, Rabbit, or Sheep, this is a very good day for creative, especially literary work.
Sheep, the sign of this day, is in harmony with Sheep, Pig, Rabbit, Snake, and Horse; neutral with Monkey, Rooster, Tiger, and Dragon; clashes with Ox, and Dog; and is ambivalent with Rat.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 28, line 4.

Hexagram 28 is Daguo, Great Passing. The ridgepole sags precariously. Pursuing a goal is advantageous. Success.

Line 4 The ridgepole is arched. Good fortune. If independence is not exercised, humiliation. The zodiac sign of line 4 is Pig. By the element of the season, Pig is weak. By the element of the hexagram, Pig represents support. Pig is in harmony with the signs of changing lines, 1 and 5, in harmony with the sign of the day, and clashes with the sign of the month. Caution. The Fire of Fire Sheep day puts a tiger in line 4. If you are unaware, disaster could strike.
