Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 2/2/18

2/2 is the day of Wood Ox in the lunar month of Water Ox. This is a harmonious combination.
This day is designated as excellent and establishing. This is a good day for all major undertakings like excavating, landscaping, construction, opening a business, moving house, marriage, traveling, etc.
An establish day is good for visiting friends and discussing marriage and business plans.
The lunar mansion is Lou, Mound. It favors all good things.
If you were born in a year or day of Snake, Rooster, or Ox, this day favors creative work.
Ox, the sign of the day, is in harmony with Ox, Snake, Rooster, Pig, and Rat; neutral with Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, and Monkey; and clashes with Dog, Horse, and Sheep.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 53, line 3.

Hexagram 53 is Jian, Gradual Development. The marriage of a maiden brings good fortune. Firm correctness brings rewards.

Line 3 Never lose faith even in dire difficulties. The zodiac signs of line 3 are Monkey and Dragon. By the element of the season, Monkey is weak and Dragon is strong. By the element of the hexagram, Monkey signifies development of creative and business interests, Dragon signifies friends and colleagues. This is a good day for cooperation. Monkey and Dragon are neutral with the signs of changing lines, 1 and 4, and with the sign of the day and month. The sequence of elements says to rely on accumulated merit. The Wood of Wood Ox day puts an earthworm in line 3. It is good to go into details and make corrections where needed.
