Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 2/18/18

2/18 is the day of Metal Snake in the lunar month of Wood Tiger. This is a clashing combination.
This day is designated as fair and full. It is good for simple renovations or adjustments, travel, launching a new business, moving house, getting married, etc.
A full day is a day of plenty. This is good.
The lunar mansion is Fang, House. This asterism brings wealth.
If you were born in a year or day of Pig, Rabbit, or Sheep, this day may be busy. It's good to be organized.
Snake, the sign of the day, is in harmony with Snake, Rooster, Ox, Horse, and Sheep; neutral with Dog, Rat, Rabbit, and Dragon; and clashes with Monkey, Pig, and Tiger.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 45, line 2.

Hexagram 45 is Cai, Gathering. The king approaches his temple. It is advantageous to see the superior man. Then there will be success. Great sacrifices generate good fortune. It is advantageous to strive for a goal.

Line 2 Letting yourself be drawn brings good fortune. No error. With sincerety, even a small offering is acceptable. The zodiac sign of line 2 is Snake. By the element of the season, Snake is strong. By the element of the hexagram, Snake signifies power. Snake is neutral with the signs of changing lines, 3 and 6, is in harmony with the sign of the day and clashes with the sign of the month. The sequence of elements indicates that growth can flourish. The Metal of Metal Snake day puts a tortoise in line 2. Keep your business to yourself, and guard against theft, whether literal or figurative.
