Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 1/12/16
1/12 is the day of Water Snake in the month of Earth Ox. This is a partly discordant combination. It brings out deity of Imposing Authority, favoring those who have leadership qualities, who are decisive and bold, and who like to take risks.
Snake is the Traveling Star for Pig, Rabbit, and Sheep. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs this is a good day for moving ahead with your career interests, rearranging your home, moving, and traveling.
Snake generally favors Snake, Rooster, Ox, Horse, and Sheep; is neutral toward Dog, Rat, Rabbit, and Dragon; and clashes with Monkey, Pig, and Tiger.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 10, line 5.
Hexagram 10 is Lu, Treading. Treading the tail of the tiger, it does not bite. Danger. Success. This hexagram is good in winter.
Line 5 advises being resolute and aware of danger. The zodiac sign of line 5, Monkey, is fairly strong by the season, and, by the hexagram, represents creative, or business interests. Monkey clashes with the sign of the day, and is neutral toward the sign of the month. There are complications. Not everything that is produced is good. The Water of Water Snake day puts a snake in line 5. Pay particular attention to details and what lies below the surface.
