1/10 is the first day of the 12th lunar month, the month of Earth Ox. The combination of Earth Ox, in the Na Yin (a special Chinese astrological) system, produces the element Fire. The month is very active. While many people will be energetic, there are those who, prone to worry, will become impatient, and will stretch the limits and get into trouble. There are dangers of violence. Ox is capable of rage.

The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 4, line 4.
Hexagram 4 is Meng, the Fool. I do not seek out the fool. He seeks me. When he asks the oracle, I tell him. If he asks the same thing over and over, this is importunate, and I tell him nothing. It is good to persevere.
Line 4 warns against obstinacy. The zodiac sign of line 4, Dog, is weak in the season, and, by the hexagram, denotes creative, or business interests. Dog is in harmony with the signs of changing line, 6, and with the sign of the day, but clashes with the sign of the month. It runs into conflict. The Metal of Metal Rabbit day puts a raven in line 4. Conflict can lead to loud arguing and fighting.
