Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 1/20/16
1/20 is the day of Metal Ox in the month of Earth Ox. This is a harmonious combination. It brings out the deity of Secondary Resources who favors such professionals as teachers, psychics, scholars, doctors, researchers, writers, artists, designers, librarians, and others of a solitary character.
Ox is the Star of Art for Snake, Rooster, and Ox. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs, this is a good day for you to engage in creative work.
Ox favors Ox, Snake, Rooster, Rat, Pig; is neutral toward Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, and Monkey; and clashes with Horse, Sheep, and Dog.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 21, line 5.
Hexagram 21 is Heshi, Biting Through. Success. It pays to exercise justice.
Line 5 Biting on dried meat, he receives gold. Constantly alert to danger. No blame. Difficult conditions are best dealt with in a balanced way. The zodiac signs for line 5, Sheep and Rooster are neutral toward one another. They are weak by the season, and, by the hexagram, represent money and power. Sheep and Rooster are in partial harmony with the signs of changing lines, 1, 2, and 6, and are in partial discord with the signs of the day and month. Conditions appear complicated, but workable. The Metal of Metal Ox day puts a worm in line 5. Due to hindrances, it moves more slowly than you may wish.
