Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 1/30/16
1/30 is the day of Metal Pig in the month of Earth Ox. This is a harmonious combination, favorable for the pursuit of alternative knowledge, and for people who work as teachers, psychics, mediums, astrologers, scholars, doctors, researchers, writers, and in professions of a solitary nature.
Pig is the Traveling Star for Snake, Rooster, and Ox. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs, this is a good day to make effective changes in your work, reorganize your space, and travel.
Pig favors Rabbit, Sheep, Tiger, Rat, and Ox; is neutral toward Dragon, Horse, Rooster, and Dog; and clashes with Snake, Monkey, and Pig.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 16, line 1.
Hexagram 16 is Yu, Enthusiasm. It is time to get helpers, and set armies marching. This hexagram is bad in winter; it may be difficult to get agreement.
Line 1 advises not talking too much about what you are going to do, but acting. The zodiac sign of line 1, Sheep, is weak by the season, and, by the hexagram, represents money. Sheep is in harmony with the sign of the day, and is in an ambivalent relation to the sign of the day, suggesting a flirtation. Danger; it could lead to conflict. The Metal of Metal Pig day puts a tiger in line 1. If you are sure, act without hesitation. If you get side tracked, or distracted, you could get taken by surprise, and end up with bad luck. Success depends on being focused and alert. Avoid fights.
