Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 5/14/15

5/14 is the day of Metal Tiger in the month of Metal Dragon. This is a dynamic combination that can cause sudden changes, not necessarily bad. It favors being practical and realistic, and making money.
Tiger is the Traveling Star for Monkey, Rat, and Dragon. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs this is a potentially busy day, good for traveling, changing your home or work place around, and moving forward in your career.
Tiger generally favors Tiger, Horse, Dog, Pig, Rabbit, and Dragon; is neutral toward Sheep, Rooster, Rat, and Ox; and challenges Snake and Monkey.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 41, line 3.

Hexagram 41 is Sun, Decrease. Decrease combined with sincerity brings good fortune. Control your anger and desire. This hexagram is good in summer.

Line 3 advises maintaining the right balance. When three travel together one drops out. When one walks alone one's companion appears. The zodiac sign for line 3, Ox, is harmonious with the signs of the day and month. The Metal of Metal Tiger day puts a dragon in line 3. This is auspicious. It brings growth and gain.

The elements of this hexagram are Earth, Metal, and Earth. There is gold in the earth. It promises good profits coming.
