Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 5/28/15

5/28 is the day of Wood Dragon in the month of Metal Snake. This is a partly discordant combination. It favors working hard and making money. It also gives the ability to take positive advantage of difficult conditions.
Dragon is the Star of Art for Monkey, Rat, and Dragon. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs this is a good time for creative thinking and work.
Dragon generally favors Monkey, Rat, Rooster, and Tiger; is neutral toward Snake, Horse, Sheep, Pig, and Ox; clashes with Dragon and Dog; and is either good or bad, depending on circumstances, with Rabbit.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 63, line 3.

Hexagram 63 is Jiji, Completion. Success in details. Persevere. In the beginning there is good luck. In the end there is disorder. This hexagram is bad in summer.

Line 3 says the illustrious ancestor carries out the attack on the devil's country, and, after three years, conquers it. Inferior men must not be used. This advises using only the best qualified, and taking your time. The zodiac signs of  line 3, Pig and Dragon are compatible with one another, but clash with the signs of changing line, 4, and with the signs of the day and month. The Wood of Wood Dragon day puts a worm in line 3. Be mindful of obstacles, and cautious in action.

The elements of this hexagram are Water, Fire, and Water. Deep reflection and analysis is necessary.
