Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 2/18/16

2/18 is the day of Metal Horse in the month of Metal Tiger. This is a harmonious combination. It favors entrepreneurs and people in speculative careers.
Horse is the Commanding Star for Tiger, Horse, and Dog. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs, this is a good year to take charge of your career activity and be on the alert.
Horse favors Dog, Tiger, Sheep, and Snake; is neutral toward Monkey, Rooster, Pig, Rabbit, and Dog; and clashes with Horse, Rat, and Ox.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 33, line 2.

Hexagram 33 is Tun, Retreat. Heaven rises above the mountain. Rise above evil and keep to the way. Success. Pay attention to details. This hexagram is good in spring.

Line 2 advises holding to what is superior. The zodiac sign of line 3, Horse, is strong by the season, and, by the month, signifies the need to stand up to a challenge, not to lay back. Horse clashes with the sign of the day, and is in harmony with the sign of the month. Accepting a challenge will bring a profit.  The Metal of Metal Horse day puts a tortoise in line 2. It advises discretion. Telling your business to others puts you at a disadvantage.
