Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 2/24/16

2/24 is the day of Fire Rat in the month of Metal Tiger. This is a discordant combination. It favors research and investigation, medicine, metaphysical and astrological work, and writing.
Rat is the Commanding Star for Monkey, Rat, and Dragon. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs, this is a good day for taking command of your work making progress.
If you were born in a year or day of Pig, Rabbit, and Sheep, this is a good day for romantic affairs.
Rat favors Rat, Dragon, Monkey, Ox, and Pig; is neutral toward Tiger, Snake, Rooster, and Dog; clashes with Rabbit and Horse, and is ambivalent toward Sheep.
The I Ching hexgram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 28, line 4.

Hexagram 28 is Daguo, Great Preponderance. The ridgepole sags almost to the breaking point. It is time for action. Success.

Line 4 The ridgepole is supported. Good luck. If you have ulterior motives, bad luck. The zodiac sign for line 4, Pig, is strong by the season, and, by the hexagram, represents your support. Support is strong. Pig is in partial harmony with the signs of changing line, 5, and is in harmony with the signs of the day and month. The Fire of Fire Rat day puts a tiger in line 4. It is time to act. Confucius says, in relation to archery, awareness of the moment of releasing the arrow is more important than the target. Act at the right moment.
