Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 2/23/16

2/23 is the day of Wood Pig in the month of Metal Tiger. This is a harmonious combination. It favors those who are independent and competitive, and has a knife blade combination that favors bold action, but can also bring out intolerance and anger.
Pig is the Traveling star for Snake, Rooster, and Ox. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs, this may be a restless day, good for making career moves, rearranging your home, and traveling.
Pig favors Rabbit, Sheep, Tiger, Rat, and Ox; is neutral toward Dragon, Horse, Rooster, and Dog; and clashes with Pig, Snake, and Monkey.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 15, line 5.

Hexagram 15 is Qian, Modesty. It is good to carry things out thoroughly.

Line 5 says not to boast, but attack vigorously. There is nothing that will not be favorable. The zodiac sign of line 5, Pig, is strong by the season, and, by the hexagram, denotes creative, or business interests. Pig is mostly in harmony with the signs of changing lines, 1 and 2, clashes with the sign of the day, and is in harmony with the sign of the month. Overcome your self-doubt and act positively. The Wood of Wood Pig day puts a tiger in line 5. Don't flinch or second guess yourself. Either act directly and spontaneously, or not at all.
