Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 4/18/16

4/18 is the day of Metal Horse in the month of Water Dragon. This is a harmonious combination. It attracts money, and favors helping others.
Horse is the Star of Romance for Snake, Rooster, and Ox. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs, this is a good day for romantic affairs.
If you were born in a year or day of Tiger, Dog, or Horse, this is a good day to take charge and move forward in your career interest.
Horse favors Dog, Tiger, Sheep, and Snake; is neutral toward Monkey, Rooster, Pig, Rabbit, and Dragon; and clashes with Horse, Rat, and Ox.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 51, line 6.

Hexagram 51 is Zhen, Thunder. Success. Thunder comes. People are startled. Everyone is terrified for a hundred miles around. He does not drop the sacrificial spoon or chalice. This signifies steady concentration despite the unexpected.

Line 6 Thunder brings ruin. People look shocked. To go ahead is bad luck. If you are unaffected, but others are, no blame, but people might gossip. Conditions are tricky. You may expect the unexpected. The zodiac sign for line 6, Dog, is void, therefore untrustworthy. Dog is weak by the element of the season, but, being void, can spring an unwelcome surprise. Dog, by the element of the hexagram, signifies money. While there is money to be gained, there is also money to be lost. Watch you don't get paid counterfeit. If you buy something, you may end up not liking it. A win could spell a loss. You may get what you want, only to regret it. Dog is in harmony with the sign of the day, and clashes with the sign of the month. Probability of success or loss is 50, 50. Don't press your luck. The Metal of Metal Horse day puts a snake in line 6. Don't discount the possibility that you are entirely unaware of something that is staring you right in the face. You could be caught unawares.
