Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 2/17/17

2/17 is the day of Wood Pig in the month of Water Tiger. This is a harmonious combination. It favors competitiveness.
This day is designated as inauspicious and receiving. This is not a day to start anything major. Any major activity begun this day could set off causes and conditions that result in injuries to children, or hassles them in the course of their lives.
A receive day is good for asking and attaining something. It would be inauspicious to ask for, or receive anything today.
The lunar mansion this day is Kang, Neck. It is an unfavorable star. You risk an ultimate loss of wealth.
If you were born in a year or day of Snake, Rooster, or Ox, this day may be a busy day, good for work.
Pig, the sign of the day, is in harmony with Rabbit, Sheep, Rat, Ox, and Tiger; neutral with Dragon, Horse, Rooster, and Dog; and clashes with Pig, Snake, and Monkey.
The I Ching hexagram for the day, using the King Wen method, is number 50, line 2.

Hexagram 50 is Ding, the Cauldron. Good fortune. Success.

Line 2 There is food in the cauldron. The others are resentful but can't hurt me. Good luck. The zodiac sign for line 2 is Pig. By the element of the season, Pig is weak. By the element of the hexagram, Pig signifies power. Pig is neutral with the signs of changing line, 3, clashes with the sign of the day, and is in harmony with the sign of the month. The Wood of Wood Pig day puts a raven in line 2. Avoid quarreling.
