Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 2/18/17

2/18 is the day of Fire Rat in the month of Water Tiger. This is a clashing combination. It favors research and behind the scenes work.
This day is designated as auspicious and open. It is good, especially if you were born on days of Water or Earth. Well used, you will enjoy a significant increase of money in 60 to 120 days, as well as the assistance of noble people, especially in times of need.
An open day is good for official openings, opening your house and welcoming in guests.
The lunar mansion is Di, Foundation. This is good for public speaking, and property investing. But construction or renovations done today may cause the property eventually to become a fire hazard.
If you were born in a year or day of Pig, Rabbit, or Sheep, this is a good day for love.
If you were born in a year or day of Monkey, Rat, or Dragon, this is a good day, if you are working to make headway.
Rat, the sign of the day, is in harmony with Rat, Dragon, Monkey, Pig, and Ox; neutral with Tiger, Snake, Rooster, and Dog; clashes with Rabbit, and Horse; and is ambivalent with Sheep.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 15, line 5.

Hexagram 15 is Qian, Modesty. Success. The superior man carries things out to completion.

Line 5 This is not a time to boast of one's riches to one's neighbor. It is a time to attack with force. The zodiac sign for line 5 is Pig. By the element of the season, Pig is weak. By the element of the hexagram, Pig signifies resources. Pig is partly in harmony with the signs of changing lines, 1 and 4, and in harmony with the signs of the day and month. Great goals can be secured. The Fire of Fire Rat day puts a tortoise in line 5. It serves to be secretive.
