Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 2/7/17


2/7 is the day of Wood Ox in the month of Water Tiger. This is a harmonious combination. It favors competitiveness.
This day is designated as inauspicious and closed. It is very inauspicious. The winged horse kicks. Avoid starting up all major activities. One should guard against being attacked by a tiger.
A closed day is such that the Qi is unmoving and at its lowest point in the 12 day cycle. It is not good for anything of great personal or business significance.
The lunar mansion is Xing, Star. This is favorable, but considering the circumstances, useless.
Ox, the sign for this day, is in harmony with Ox, Snake, Rooster, Rat, and Pig; neutral with Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, and Monkey; and clashes with Horse, Sheep, and Dog.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 15, line 5.

Hexagram 15 is Qian, Modesty. Success. The superior man carries things out thoroughly.

Line 5 Remain quiet. The zodiac sign for line 5 is Pig. By the element of the season, Pig is weak. By the element of the hexagram, Pig signifies creative and business interests. Pig is in harmony with the signs of changing lines, 1 and 3. and with the signs of the day and month. This is a time of intermittent confusion, nonetheless. The Wood of Wood Ox day puts a tiger in line 5. Danger.
