Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 11/6/17

11/6 is the day of Fire Rooster in the lunar month of Metal Dog. This is a clashing combination.
This day is designated as inauspicious and closed. It is bad for all major activities. This, in the Chinese calendar, is the last day of autumn.
A close day is bad for any activity of great personal or business significance.
The lunar mansion is Wei, Danger. Harm comes from water, the sea, various health problems could arise.
Rooster, the sign of the day, is in harmony with Ox, Snake, Monkey, and Dragon; neutral with Pig, Rat, Tiger, Horse, and Sheep; clashes with Sheep and Rooster, and is ambivalent with Dog.
If you were born in a year or day of Monkey, Rat, or Dragon, this day favors romance.
If you were born in a year or day of Snake, Rooster, or Ox, this day favors your work.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 15, line 5.

Hexagram 15 is Qian, Modesty. The superior man successfully carries matters through to completion.

Line 5 Modest dealing with neighbors. Everything contributes to success, even attacking with force, if necessary. The zodiac sign of line 5 is Pig. By the element of the season, Pig is strong. By the element of the hexagram, Pig signifies creative and business interests. Pig is neutral with the signs of the day and month. The sequence of elements is unproductive. The Fire of Fire Rooster puts a tortoise in line 5. Tortoise denotes privacy.
