Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 12/13/14

12/13 is the day of Earth Horse in the month of Wood Pig. This is a discordant combination. It focuses on people who are competitive, hard working, and focused on money.
Earth Horse is highly intelligent and adept, and lucky with money. It is a Knife Blade, however, and can be intolerant and aggressive, and apt to run into inter-personal conflict and trouble in personal relationships.
Horse, nonetheless, is the Star of Romance for Snake, Rooster, and Ox. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three, this is a good day for romantic affairs.
If you were born in a year or day of Tiger, Dog, or Horse this is a good day to take command and go forward with your aims. Beware of the possibilities of quarreling.
Horse gets along well with Dog, Tiger, Snake, and Sheep; neutrally with Monkey, Rooster, Pig, Rabbit, and Dragon; and poorly with Horse, Rat, and Ox.
The hexagram of this day, using the King Wen method, is number 2, line 6.

Hexagram 2 is Kun, The Earth. It brings success through calm cultivation with the perseverance of a mare. Better to seek guidance, to plan, and find solitude, than to lead. Quiet perseverance brings good luck. If you have no reason to act today, stay quiet. This hexagram is good in winter.

Line 6 warns against overstepping limits. Attempt nothing new today. The zodiac sign for line 6, Rooster, is in a neutral relation to the signs of the day and month. The Earth of Earth Horse day puts a raven in line 6. Going too far risks a quarrel.

The elements of this hexagram are Earth, Earth, and Earth. Earth is strong. Reflect on the past, and respect tradition.
