Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 12/23/14

12/23 is the day of Earth Dragon in the month of Fire Rat. This is a strongly harmonious combination that favors those who are resourceful and focused on making money. It strongly favors such as psychic mediums, astrologers, occult researchers, creative writers, designers, and teachers.
Earth Dragon gives great will power. It is ambitious, motivated, and goal oriented, and has the ability to store up money. It is highly sociable and can use charm to get ahead in the world. It, however, can cause trouble in romantic relationships.
Dragon also favors creative, artistic thinking and work. This is especially so for people born in a year or day of Monkey, Rat, or Dragon.
Dragon gets along easily with Monkey, Rat, Tiger, Rooster, and sometimes Rabbit; neutrally with Snake, Horse, Sheep, Pig, and Ox; and with difficulty with Dragon, Dog, and sometimes Rabbit.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 59, line 5.

Hexagram 59 is Huan, Dispersion. Wind above Water. The boat sails. Wind sweeps things away. Success. The king approaches his temple. It is time to cross the great water. It is good to persevere. This hexagram is good in winter.

Line 5 advises to adjust to the changing times. . The zodiac sign of line 5, Snake, is for the most part in harmony with the signs of changing lines 2 and 3, is in harmony with the sign for the day, and out of harmony with the sign for the month. The Earth of Earth Dragon day puts a dragon in line 5. If you work hard, despite difficulties, you will succeed. The dragon is auspicious.

The elements for this hexagram are Fire, Water, and Wood. Wood is nourished, Progress is made eventually.
