Daily Chinese astroloigcal I Ching reading: 12/8/14
12/8 is the day of Water Ox in the month of Wood Pig. This is a harmonious combination. It favors those who are talented, creative, competitive, independent, adventurous, and energetic.
Ox is the Star of Arts for Snake, Rooster, and Ox. If you were born in a year or day of any of these three, this is a good day for creative thinking and work.
If you were born in a year or day of Monkey, Rat, or Dragon, this is a good day for looking into your future and making plans, but a bad day for getting into disputes, even worse for getting into litigation.
Ox gets along harmoniously with Ox, Snake, Rooster, Rat, and Pig; neutrally with Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, and Monkey; and discordantly with Horse, Sheep, and Dog.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 38, line 4.
Hexagram 38 is Kui, or Opposition. Fire above, Lake below. Water and Fire cannot coexist. Where there is disagreement or estrangement, working on small things helps. This hexagram is bad in winter.
Line 4 says isolated through estrangement, one meets a like-minded, trustworthy companion. Danger. No blame. Carefully choose those who cooperate, and avoid those who don't. The zodiac sign of line 4, Rooster, is in harmony with the signs of changing line 3, and in harmony with the signs for the day and month. The Water of Water Ox puts a worm in line 4. It is easy to go forward and to be productive in spite of hindrances. Make the best of your situation.
The elements of this hexagram are Earth, Metal, and Fire. It is favorable to conduct business and gain wealth with a good heart.
