Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 12/21/14
12/21 is the day of Fire Tiger in the month of Wood Pig. This is a strongly harmonious combination that promotes growth and development. It favors leaders who act independently and are resourceful.
Fire Tiger is a Red Light Star. It can get into serious trouble in romantic affairs. The combination of Fire Tiger and Wood Pig, however, brings help when needed, and gives success in all mental pursuits. It also brings out the star Tien Yi. Tien Yi is a goddess whom all demons dread. She is lucky and can resolve all difficulties.
Tiger is the Traveling Star for Monkey, Rat, and Dragon. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three, this is a good day to be active. It favors traveling, rearranging the house or place of work, and taking positive steps forward in you career.
If you were born in a year or day of Pig, Rat, or Ox, this is a good day to enjoy solitude, and not force matters in personal relationships.
12/21, 12/22, and 12/23 are not good for people born in a year of Snake, Rooster, or Ox to attend important meetings or events. Take advantage of any good opportunity that comes your way, and beware of anyone trying to take unfair advantage of you or even steal from you. Wear something black to ward off shar (bad luck).
If you were born in a year of Pig, Rabbit, or Sheep, this is a good day to look into the future and make plans, but, it is a bad day to get into any arguments.
Tiger gets along well with Tiger, Horse, Dog, Pig, Rabbit, and Dragon; neutrally with Sheep, Rooster, Rat, and Ox; and problematically with Snake and Monkey.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 4, line 4.
Hexagram 4 is Meng, Youthful Folly. Water and Mountain. When water becomes fog we cannot see the mountain. Don't obsess. Don't beg the question. The oracle does not seek the young fool. The young fool seeks the oracle. The oracle gives the answer. Begging the question is bad manners. This hexagram is troublesome in winter.
Line 4 says obstinacy and stubbornness brings humiliation. Try to see things as they are. The zodiac sign of line 4, Dog, is in harmony with the signs of changing line 5 and the sign for the day and month. The Fire of Fire Dog day puts a tiger in line 4. Going forward heedlessly invites trouble. Keep your eyes open. The tiger is fierce. This is the advice of Tien Yi. She does not protect fools.
The elements of this hexagram are Fire, Water, and Earth. In the earth there is water to use with fire. Be practical but do not enter into conflict. If you do you will meet with misfortune.
