Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 5/11/15
5/11 is the day of Fire Pig in the month of Metal Dragon. This is a partially discordant combination. It favors those who are responsible and caring. It also brings help and resolves difficulties.
Pig is the Traveling Star for Snake, Rooster, and Ox. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs this may be a busy day, good for rearranging your home or work place, traveling, and making progress in your career.
Pig generally favors Rabbit, Sheep, Tiger, Rat, and Ox; is neutral toward Dragon, Horse, Dog, and Rooster; and clashes with Snake, Monkey, and Pig.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 53, line 3.
Hexagram 53 is Jen, Progress. The maiden marries. Good fortune. It is good to persevere. This hexagram is good in summer. We are in Chinese summer season.
Line 3 says not to lose faith, no matter how difficult the situation. The zodiac sign of line 3, Monkey, is in harmony with the signs of changing lines 1 and 4, in discord with the sign of the day, and in harmony with the sign of the month. Earlier difficulties, later ease. The Fire of Fire Pig day puts a snake in line 3. It helps to look beneath the surface.
The elements of this hexagram are Earth, Earth, and Wood. The earth supports trees. Be strong and industrious.
