Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 5/16/15
5/16 is the day of Water Dragon in the month of Metal Dragon. This is a partly harmonious combination. It favors independence and the ability to stand up to challenges.
Dragon is the Star of Art for Monkey, Rat, and Dragon. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs this is a good day for creative work.
Dragon generally favors Monkey, Rat, Rooster, and Tiger; is neutral toward Snake, Horse, Sheeo, Pig, and Ox; challenges Dragon and Dog; and is either good or bad to Rabbit depending on circumstances.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 18, line 3.
Hexagram 18 is Gu, Decay. Success is possible. It is favorable to cross the great water. Wait three days before beginning; three days after beginning. This hexagram is good in summer.
Line 3 If you try to make corrections too fast or too forcefully, there may be a bad reaction. The zodiac sign of line 3, Rooster, is in harmony with the signs of changing lines 2, 4, and 5, and with the sign of the day and month. The Water of Water Dragon day puts a raven in line 3. Don't start a fight.
The elements of this hexagram are Wood, Wood, and Earth. The earth cannot support so much wood. Too much pressure breaks down progress.
