Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 5/17/15
5/17 is the day of Water Snake in the month of Metal Dragon. This is a harmonious combination. It favors being practical, generous, and sincere in your work.
Snake is the Traveling Star for Pig, Rabbit, and Sheep. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs this may be a busy day, good for traveling, rearranging your home and/or work place, and making good progress in your career.
Snake generally favors Snake, Rooster, Ox, Horse, and Sheep; is neutral toward Dog, Rat, Rabbit, and Dragon; and clashes with Monkey, Pig, and Tiger.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 27, line 4.
Hexagram 27 is Yi, Jaws. It is good to persevere. Pay attention of providing nourishment in the forms of food as well as words.
Line 4 advises considering how best to be of help to others. Be willing to share. The zodiac signs of line 4, Dog and Rooster clash with one another, are in partial harmony with the signs of changing line 3, and in partial harmony with the signs of the day and month. The Water of Water Snake day puts a worm in line 4. Proceed carefully, and be mindful of obstacles and hindrances.
The elements of this hexagram are Wood, Wood, and Earth. Too much pressure hinders progress.
