Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 5/15/15
5/15 is the day of Metal Rabbit in the month of Metal Dragon. This is a harmonious combination. It favors free-lancers, speculators, and entrepreneurs.
Rabbit is the Commanding Star for Pig, Rabbit, and Sheep. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs this is a good day to be active and move forward with your work.
Rabbit is the Star of Romance for Tiger, Horse, and Dog. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three, this is a good day for love.
Rabbit generally favors Rabbit, Sheep, Pig, Tiger, and Dog; is neutral toward Snake, Horse, Monkey, and Ox; challenges Rooster and Rat; and is good or bad with Dragon depending on circumstances.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 4, line 4.
Hexagram 4 is Meng, The Undeveloped. Despite a lack of wisdom, success can be attained. The teacher does not seek the student. The student seeks the teacher. The teacher answers. If the student is importunate and asks the same thing over and over the teacher stops. It is favorable to persevere. This hexagram is bad in spring.
Line 4 warns against being unrealistic and obstinate. If you are you could cause yourself bad luck. The zodiac sign of line 4, Dog, clashes with the signs of changing line, 2, and with the signs of the day and month. The Metal of Metal Rabbit day puts a raven in line 4. The way to prevent a quarrel from happening is not to quarrel.
The elements of this hexagram are Fire, Water, and Earth. Act but do not get into conflict.
