Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 5/8/15
5/8 is the day of Wood Monkey in the month of Metal Dragon. This is a partly discordant combination. It favors facing the challenge and getting what you want.
Monkey is the Traveling Star for Tiger, Horse, and Dog. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs this may be a busy day, good for traveling, rearranging your space, and/or taking steps forward in your career.
Monkey generally favors Monkey, Rat, Dragon, Rooster, and Dog; is neutral toward Ox, Rabbit, Horse, and Sheep; and clashes with Pig, Tiger, and Snake.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 49, line 4.
Hexagram 49 is Ge, Revolution. When your day comes you are believed. Success comes by persevering. Regret disappears. This hexagram is bad in spring.
Line 4 advises being in the right position before making changes. Make sure you are prepared. The zodiac sign of line 4, Pig, clashes with the sign for day and is harmonious with the sign for the month. The Wood of Wood Monkey day puts a snake in line 4. Do not ignore what may be hidden. Earlier difficulties will give way to later rewards.
The elements of this hexagram are Water, Fire, and Metal. The elements are in a destructive relationship to one another. Seek insight. Do not let destructive people influence you.
