Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 5/11/16
5/11 is the day of Water Snake in the month of Water Snake. This a harmonious combination that resolves difficulties, promotes making money, and helps in establishing things.
This day is generally good for traveling, landscaping and fengshui, signing contracts, and conducting business.
The day is not good for retreating, procrastinating, and romantic affairs.
Snake is the Traveling Star for Pig, Rabbit, and Sheep. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs, this is an especially good day for moving forward in your work, rearranging your affairs or your place, and traveling.
Snake favors Snake, Rooster, Ox, Horse, and Sheep; is neutral toward Dog, Rat, Rabbit, and Dragon; and clashes with Monkey, Pig, and Tiger.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 47, line 1.
Hexagram 47 is Kun, Oppression. Success in persevering. The superior person brings good luck. No blame. When you have something to say, no one listens. Action speaks louder than words.
Line 1 advises snapping out of discouragement. The zodiac sign of line 1, Tiger, is strong by the element of the season, and, by the element of the hexagram, signifies money. Tiger clashes with the signs of changing line, 5, and with the signs of the day and month. The Water of Water Snake day puts a tortoise in line 1. While you are doing well, someone may envy your good fortune. It pays to ward off thieves and not let others take unfair advantage of you or drain you. There is no harm in keeping one's own counsel and standing firmly.
