Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 5/4/16
5/4 is the day of Fire Dog in the month of Water Dragon. This is a totally discordant combination. It has the possibilities of bringing sudden changes and reversals. The combination favors creative work.
This day has the quality of destruction. It is the break of the month. Tomorrow is the first day of Chinese summer season. Today, tomorrow, and the day after are considered dangerous.
Today is good for studying, cleaning or rearranging your home, and making fengshui adjustments.
Today is not good for starting new ventures, signing contracts, performing ceremonies; it is also bad if you are sick. It is difficult if you are dealing with obstacles; and warns of gossip.
Dog is the Star of Art for Tiger, Horse, and Dog. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs, this is an especially good day for creative work.
Dog favors Dog, Tiger, Horse, Rabbit, and Monkey; is neutral toward Pig, Rat, and Snake; clashes with Pig, Dragon, and Sheep; and is ambivalent toward Rooster.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 57, line 5.
Hexagram 57 is Sun, the Wind. Success through small things. It is time to be active, and to see experts.
Line 6 warns that too much indecision and analyzing misses the moment to act and brings bad luck. The zodiac sign for line 6, Rabbit, is strong by the element of the season, and, by the element of the hexagram, signifies people who come around you. Rabbit is in harmony with the signs of the day and month. It is positively productive. The Fire of Fire Dog day puts a dragon in line 6. It is auspicious. All of this strongly favors action. Seize the day.
