Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 5/18/16

5/18 is the day of Metal Rat in the month of Water Snake. While this is a harmonious combination, it spells some danger, and poses a challenge that calls for courage, skill, and leadership to meet.
This day is generally good for making purchases, banking, moving house, socializing, and fengshui adjustments. If doing fengshui adjustments, look for problems especially in the northwest and southeast areas.
The day is generally bad for gossiping, getting into arguments, and lending money.
Rat is the Commanding Star for Monkey, Rat, and Dragon. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs, this is a good day to take charge and move forward, especially in your career.
If you were born in a year or day of Pig, Rabbit, or Sheep, this is a good day for romantic interests, but be careful not to get into an argument.
Rat favors Rat, Dragon, Monkey, Pig, and Ox; is neutral toward Tiger, Snake, Rooster, and Dog; clashes with Horse and Rabbit; and is ambivalent with Sheep.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 27, line 4.

Hexagram 27 is Yi, Jaws. Pay attention to nourishment, both in the forms of food and words.

Line 4 Spying about like a hungry tiger. The zodiac sign of line 4, Dog, is strong by the element of the season, and, by the element of the hexagram, signifies money. Dog is prosperous and in harmony with the signs of changing lines, 1, 3, 5, and 6, and with the signs of the day and month. All looks good. The Metal of Metal Rat day puts a raven in line 4. You could attract hostility. Avoid getting into an argument.
