Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 6/1/16

6/1 is the day of Wood Tiger in the month of Water Snake. This is a partly harmonious combination. It favors creative work.
This day, as were the past several, is inauspicious. Be cautious today with what you are willing to accept. The negative Chi of the past several days is beginning to turn for the better.
The bad readings for this day are the same as the bad readings for yesterday, 5/31, in addition, it is bad to crave attention, to get upset and make a scene, to try to be controlling, overbearing, willful, arrogant, boastful, or rebellious. In other words, if you are angry or upset, it is better to retreat than pick a fight. It is also bad to depend on anyone today. The unfavorable directions for this day are north, south, and west.
This day, on the other hand, is good for creative work, independence, calmness, optimism, and a good sense of individualism. The favorable directions are northeast, east, and northwest.
Tiger, the sign of this day, is the Traveling Star for Monkey, Rat, and Dragon. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three, this is a good day to travel, rearrange or clean up your home or workplace, and make positive moves in your career.
Tiger favors Tiger, Horse, Dog, Rabbit, Dragon, and Pig; is neutral toward Sheep, Rooster, Rat, and Ox; and clashes with Snake, and Monkey.
The I Ching hexagram for this day is number 44, line 1.

Hexagram 44 is Gou, Meeting. The maiden is powerful. Don't marry.

Line 1 Nip evil in the bud. The zodiac sign for line 1, Ox, is void, meaning its action is negative. Ox is weak by the element of the season, therefore able to undermine. Ox, by the element of the hexagram, signifies your support, or in this case, undermining. Ox clashes with the signs of changing line, 4, therefore making it stronger, and is neutral toward the sign of the day, and in harmony with the sign of the month, thus enabling it to do mischief. It is the image of luxuriant woods, and a wish for harmony that is entirely inappropriate and misleading. It is inappropriate to lean on anyone today. The Wood of Wood Tiger day puts a dragon in line 1. This is auspicious. It says not to depend on anyone now, and not to be conned, because of your wish for support and approval, into believing something that is entirely false, but to act independently. This is really a day to rely on yourself, and to be creatively productive.
