Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 7/19/15

7/19 is the day of Fire Monkey in the month of Water Sheep. This is a discordant combination. It favors creative work and gives the ability to take advantage of difficult situations.
Monkey is the Traveling Star for Tiger, Horse, and Dog. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs this may be a busy day, good for moving ahead in your career, rearranging your home or work place, and traveling.
Monkey generally favors Monkey, Rat, Dragon, Rooster, and Dog; is neutral toward Ox, Rabbit, Horse, and Sheep; and clashes with Pig, Tiger, and Snake.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 48, line 5.

Hexagram 48 is Jing, the Well. The town can be changed but the well cannot. It neither increases nor decreases. People come to the well and draw it. If you get almost to the water and your rope is not long enough, or if your jug breaks, you have bad luck.

Line 5 says the well is fed by a cool spring from which everyone can drink. It is good to refresh yourself and to share it. The zodiac sign for line 5, Dog, is for the most part in harmony with the signs of changing lines 1, 2, and 4, and with the sign for the day, but clashes with the sign for the month. The Fire of Fire Monkey day puts a tortoise in line 5. If you have a disagreement with someone close to you, it is best to keep it to yourself. Do not look for conflict.

The elements of this hexagram are Wood, Wood, and Water. Water flows through the woods and nourishes the trees. Support is available.
