Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 7/3/15
7/3 is the day of Metal Dragon in the month of Water Horse. This is a harmonious and dynamic combination. It favors those who are resourceful, insightful, generous, inventive, and creatively talented.
Dragon is the Star of Arts for Monkey, Rat, and Dragon. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs this is a good day for creative work.
Dragon generally favors Monkey, Rat, Rooster, and Tiger; is neutral toward Snake, Horse, Sheep, Pig, and Ox; clashes with Dragon and Dog; and is either good or bad with Rabbit depending on circumstances.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 53, line 3.
Hexagram 53 is Jian, Gradual Progress. The maiden marries. Good luck if you persevere. This hexagram is good in summer.
Line 3 advises not giving in to difficulties. Learn from your mistakes. Guard against unnecessary losses. The zodiac signs of line 3, Monkey and Horse, are neutral toward one another, are partly in harmony with the signs of changing lines, 2 and 5, and with the sign for the day, are partly in discord with the sign for the month. The Metal of Metal Dragon day puts a dragon in line 3. In spite of whatever complications or difficulties there are act positively. Keep a positive outlook.
The elements of this hexagram are Earth, Earth, and Wood. Earth bears up trees.
