Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 8/1/15
8/1 is the day of Earth Rooster in the month of Water Sheep. This is a partly discordant figure. It gives the ability to turn difficult situations around to advantage, and favors independence.
Rooster is the Star of Romance for Monkey, Rat, and Dragon. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs this is a good day for love.
If you were born in a year or day of Snake, Rooster, or Ox this is a good day to make headway at work.
Rooster generally favors Ox, Snake, Dragon and Monkey; is neutral toward Pig, Rat, Tiger, Horse, and Sheep; clashes with Rooster and Rabbit, and is either good or bad with Dog depending on circumstances.
Tiger and Rabbit are empty signs now; the day has neither the power to help or hinder them.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 9, line 1.
Hexagram 9 is Xiaoxu, The Power of the Small. There are heavy clouds but no rain.
Line 1 says that if you return to the right way you will have success. It is good to correct errors. The zodiac sign for line 1, Rat, is in harmony with the signs of changing sign, 2, and with the signs of the day and month. The Earth of Earth Rooster day puts a snake in line 1. Do not ignore what may be hidden; there is a chance that harmony can turn to discord if you are not careful. You want to turn potential discord to harmony especially in love.
The elements of this hexagram are Wood, Metal, and Wood. Inconstancy brings disaster. If there is an impasse, wait for a better time.
