Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 7/9/15

7/9 is the day of Fire Dog in the month of Water Horse. This is a partly discordant combination. It contains a Knife Blade that warns of frustration and anger. The combination speaks to entrepreneurs and free-lancers.
Dog is the Star of Arts for Tiger, Horse, and Dog. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs this is a good day for creative thinking.
Dog generally favors Dog, Tiger, Horse, Rabbit, and Monkey; is neutral toward Pig, Rat, and Snake; clashes with Ox, Dragon, and Sheep; and is either good or bad with Rooster depending on circumstances.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 33, line 2.

Hexagram 33 is Tun, Withdrawal. Success if you pay attention to details.

Line 2 encourages holding firm to what is superior despite nagging inferior elements. The zodiac sign of line 2 is Horse. Horse is made void by Fire Dog day. It nonetheless is in harmony with the signs of changing line, 5, and the sign of the day, and clashes with the sign of the month. It basically is unable to act. The Fire of Fire Dog day also puts a worm in line 2 denoting obstacles. Be patient.

The elements of this hexagram are Metal, Earth, and Metal. If you follow your intuition you will know best when to act.
