Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 9/5/15

9/5 is the day of Wood Monkey in the month of Wood Monkey. This is a harmonious combination. It favors facing challenges.
Monkey is the Traveling Star for Tiger, Horse, and Dog. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs this is a good day for moving forward with your career, rearranging your home or workplace, and traveling.
Monkey generally favors Monkey, Rat, Dragon, Rooster, and Dog; is neutral toward Ox, Rabbit, Horse, and Sheep; and clashes with Pig, Tiger, and Snake.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 20, line 4.

Hexagram 20 is Guan, Contemplation. The ablution has been made but not the offering. The people look up to him with trust. It favors patience. This hexagram is good in fall.

Line 4 favors taking a broad view of all things. The zodiac signs of line 4, Sheep and Horse, are in harmony. Together they are strong by the season and hexagram, but they are empty. This favors watching and waiting, investigating, looking into secrets, but not intervening or meddling. In context of the hexagram Sheep and Horse together represent intelligence. Observe clearly. Look below the surface. Sheep and Horse together are in harmony with the sign of the day and month. This gives them clarity. The Wood of Wood Monkey day puts a snake in line 4. You may discover something hidden. This favors psychic work, research, secret investigation, detective work, studying, and occult work.
