Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 12/17/15

12/17 is the day of Fire Rabbit in the month of Earth Rat. This is a partly harmonious combination. It favors those who stand up to challenges and take the lead.
Rabbit is the Commanding Star for Pig, Rabbit, and Sheep. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs this is a good day to advance in your work.
For those born in a year or day of Tiger, Horse, or Dog this is a good day for romantic interests.
Rabbit favors Rabbit, Sheep, Pig, Dog, and Tiger; is neutral toward Snake, Horse, Monkey, and Ox; clashes with Rooster and Rat; and is either good or bad with Dragon depending on circumstances.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method is number 4, line 4.

Hexagram 4 is Meng, Youthful folly. I do not seek out the fool. The fool seeks me out. When he asks the oracle answers. But, if he importunes and asks repeatedly, I stop. It is favorable to persevere. This hexagram is difficult in winter.

Line 4 Dreaming up impractical fantasies brings humiliation. The zodiac sign for line 4, Dog, is empty; its behavior is untrustworthy. It is also weak by the season, and, by the hexagram. represents your business, or creative interests. Its condition says not to support something or someone when you need support. Keep a clear boundary. Dog is in harmony with the signs of changing line, 5, and with the signs of the day and month. The situation is nonetheless unreliable. The Fire of Fire Rabbit day puts a tiger in line 4. It warns of tricky conditions, mishaps, and injury. Keep out of harm's way. Conditions are treacherous.
