Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 5/15/16

5/15 is the day of Fire Rooster in the month of Water Snake. This is a partly discordant combination. It favors competitiveness, and can resolve difficult situations by taking advantage of them. It also contains a Knife Blade, warning of impatience and potential violence.
This day is bad for arguing, jumping to conclusions, impatience, and breaking off relations.
This day is good for working on new projects, moving house, traveling, and making feng shui adjustments. If you travel, north and south directions are unfavorable. If you are doing fengshui adjustments, look for problems in the north and south areas.
Rooster is the Commanding Star for Snake, Rooster, and Ox. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs, this is a good day for taking charge and moving forward, especially in your career.
If you were born in a year or day of Monkey, Rat, or Dragon, this is a good day for romantic affairs, but, considering the aggressive energy of the day, trouble could arise.
Rooster favors Ox, Snake, Dragon, and Monkey; is neutral toward Pig, Rat, Tiger, Horse, and Sheep; clashes with Rooster and Rabbit; and is ambivalent with Dog.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 55, line 5.

Hexagram 55 is Feng, Abundance. Don't be sad. Be like the sun at noon.

Line 5 Blessings and fame. Good luck. The zodiac sign for line 5, Monkey, is weak by the element of the season, and, by the element of the hexagram, signifies what supports you, i.e., nourishment, health care, home, education, studies, teachers, doctors, parents, research, investigations, and the like. Monkey is for the most part in harmony with the signs of changing lines, 2, 3, and 6, is in harmony with the sign of the day, and clashes with the sign on the month. It seems to say, don't press your luck. The Fire of Fire Rooster day puts a tortoise in line 5. This favors secrecy. This is a good day for divination, research, and investigation.
