Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 5/19/16

5/19 is the day of Metal Ox in the month of Water Snake. This is a harmonious combination. It favors trustworthiness, diligence, patience, and managerial skill. It is good for those who follow the advice or recommendations of superiors.
This day is good for taking responsibility, working hard, self-restraint, studying, construction, and fengshui. If you are doing fengshui, check the middle and south areas for possible problems. This day can bring success.
This day is bad for self-indulgence, gossiping, and complaining.
Ox is the Star of Art for Snake, Rooster, and Ox. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs, this is an especially good day for creative work.
Ox favors Ox, Snake, Rooster, Pig, and Rat; is neutral toward Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, and Monkey; and clashes with Horse, Sheep, and Dog.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 9, line 3.

Hexagram 9 is Xiaoxu, Restraint. Dense clouds but no rain yet.

Line 1 Return to the right way is blameless, and brings good luck. Do what you feel is most natural and peaceful. The zodiac sign of line 1, Rat, is weak by the element of the season, and, by the element of the hexagram, signifies what supports you, your job, your home, food, medicine, your education, also providing care for others. Rat is in harmony with the signs of changing line, 3, and with the signs of the day and month. There is a general sense of support in this. The Metal of Metal Ox day puts a tiger in line 1. This warns not to take undue risks, or get in the way of conflicts today. The tiger warns you to stay out of harm's way.
