Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 5/16/16

5/16 is the day of Earth Dog in the month of Water Snake. This is a harmonious combination. It favors caring for others, doing research, divining, astrology, medicine, teaching. It also encourages making money, and is good for creative work. This is a good day for initiating something new, traveling, and moving. It is not so good for ceremonies and signing contracts.
Dog is the Star of Art for Tiger, Horse, and Dog. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs, this is an especially good day for you for creative work.
Dog favors Dog, Tiger, Horse, Rabbit, and Monkey; is neutral toward Pig, Rat, and Snake; clashes with Ox, Dragon, and Sheep; and is ambivalent with Rooster.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 61, line 4.

Hexagram 61 is Zhongfu, Inner Sincerety. Pigs and fishes. Good luck. It is time to cross the great water. Time to persevere. Pigs and fishes means anyone can understand this; it's that basic. It also means it's best to be simple and straightforward in your dealings today.

Line 4 Moon is nearly full. A team horse strays off. No blame. You can't always be in control. The zodiac signs of line 4, Sheep and Pig, are in harmony with one another, and are strong by the element of the season. By the element of the hexagram, they signify money, especially good for those who consult. Sheep and Pig are for the most part in harmony with the signs of changing lines, 2, 3, and 6, and are both in harmony and in conflict with the signs of the day and month. It is lively. The Earth of Earth Dog day puts a tortoise in line 4. There is a need to maintain a fair boundary.
