Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 5/3/16

5/3 is the day of Wood Rooster in the month of Water Dragon. This is a very harmonious combination. It is good for initiating, and favors making and managing money.
This day is good for routine work, medical treatment, and child care.
The day is not good for signing contracts, making promises, relying on outside help, and taking risks.
Rooster is the Commanding Star for Snake, Rooster and Ox. If you were born in a year or day  of one of these three signs, this is a good day for taking charge and moving forward in your work.
If you were born in a year or day of Monkey, this is a good day for romantic affairs.
Rooster favors Ox, Snake, Dragon, and Monkey; is neutral toward Pig, Rat, Tiger, Horse, and Sheep; clashes with Rooster and Rabbit; and is ambivalent toward Dog.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 53, line 3.

Hexagram 53 is Jian, Progress. The maiden is offered in marriage. Good luck. It is a good time to persevere.

Line 3 encourages you to keep faith. Learn by mistakes, and don't let yourself be discouraged. The zodiac sign of line 3, Monkey, is weak by the element of the season, and, by the element of the hexagram, signifies creative interests and business. Monkey is partly in discord with the signs of changing lines, 5 ans 6, and is in harmony with the signs of the day and month. Effort pays off. The Wood of Wood Rooster day puts a worm in line 3, advising you to go around a possible obstacle slowly and carefully.
