Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 5/23/16

5/23 is the day of Wood Snake in the month of Water Snake. This is a harmonious combination. It favors creativity.
This day generally favors rearranging your home, making fengshui adjustments, buying and selling, and taking your time making decisions.
This day is bad for starting a new business.
Snake is the Traveling Star for Pig, Rabbit, and Sheep. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs, this is an especially good day for making progress in your work, rearranging your place, and traveling. If you are rearranging the fengshui of your place, look at the north and south areas for possible problems. If you are traveling this day, the north and south are not favorable directions.
Snake favors Snake, Rooster, Ox, Horse, and Sheep; is neutral toward Dog, Rat, Rabbit, and Dragon; and clashes with Monkey, Pig, and Tiger.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 41, line 3.

Hexagram 41 is Sun, Decrease. This hexagram favors those born in the month of Monkey. Decrease brings highest good when combined with sincerity. It is time to persevere and undertake something by using two small bowls. The two small bowls signify modifying, or limiting one's desire and anger.
Because there are no changing lines, this hexagram favors ordinary, routine business dealings, no special changes.

Line 3 says, when three people travel together, one leaves. When one travels alone, he finds a companion. Strive for balance; it means neither too much nor too little. The zodiac sign of line 3, Ox, is weak by the element of the season, and, by the element of the hexagram, signifies those who come to, or gather around you. Ox is in harmony with the signs of the day and month. It is productive. Good fortune. The Wood of Wood Snake day puts a worm in line 3. It means progress depends on careful deliberation and paying attention to details. It also favors delaying matters.
