Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 5/20/16

5/20 is the day of Water Tiger in the month of Water Snake. This is a partly harmonious combination. It favors speculating. It gives luck and the ability to take positive advantage of difficult conditions. This is the first day of the solar period called Budding Summer Grains (corresponding with 0 degrees Gemini).
This day is generally good for commercial activities, borrowing, real estate dealings, and receiving; also retreating, solitude, meditating, and resting.
This day is generally bad for starting new ventures, relying on others, signing contracts, romance, traveling unless you are born in a year or day of Monkey, Rat, or Dragon, and making fengshui adjustments.
Generally unlucky directions today are southeast, northwest, and southwest.
Tiger is the Traveling Star for Monkey, Rat, and Dragon. If you were born under one of these signs, this is a good day to travel, except for southeast, northwest, and southwest. It is also good for moving forward in your career.
Tiger favors Tiger, Horse, Dog, Rabbit, Dragon, and Pig; is neutral toward Sheep, Rooster, Rat, and Ox; and clashes with Snake and Monkey.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 62, line 4.

Hexagram 62 is Xiaoguo, Narrow Passage. Success. Small things can be done, not great things. The flying bird brings the message to stay below, not strive upward. Great good luck.

Line 4 advises being flexible and not forcing anything. The zodiac sign for line 4, Horse, is strong by the element of the season, and, by the element of the hexagram, signifies challenges, demands, obligations, and people taking from you. Horse is in harmony with the elements of the day and month. It shows productivity; you are able to meet it. The Water of Water Tiger day puts a worm in line 4. This tells you it is favorable to go slowly, and pay attention to small details.
