Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 5/5/16

5/5 is the day of Fire Pig in the lunar month of Water Dragon. 5/5 marks the first day of Chinese summer season. The new moon, Water Snake, follows on 5/6.
While the day is designated as ominous, its energy being destructive, the combination of Fire Pig and Water Dragon brings out three lucky star combinations: Tian Yi, Tian de Gui Ren, and Yue de Gui Ren, all which can help to resolve whatever troubles you may have been having. The energy of this day can break up unbalanced situations.
The combination of Fire Pig and Water Dragon favors creative work.
Pig is the Traveling Star for Snake, Rooster, and Ox. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs, this is a good day for rearranging your home, moving forward at work, and traveling. If you were not born under one of these three signs, avoid unnecessary travel today, as it would be unlucky.
The day generally favors endings, having medical treatments, making repairs, giving gifts, setting limits, having fengshui consultations, and meditating.
The day does not favor putting things off, getting into arguments, complaining about things, gossiping, signing contracts, and performing ceremonies.
Pig favors Rabbit, Sheep, Tiger, Rat, and Ox; is neutral toward Dragon, Horse,  Rooster, and Dog; and clashes with Pig, Snake, and Monkey.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 37, line 2.

Hexagram 37 is Jiaren, the Family. The tenacity and perseverance of a woman succeeds.

Line 2 recommends tending to matters at hand and not becoming distracted. There are two zodiac signs in line 2, Ox and Tiger. Ox and Tiger are neutral toward one another. They are strong by the element of the season, and, by the element of the hexagram, represent money and people gathering, good for business. Ox and Tiger are partly harmonious with the signs of changing lines, 4 and 5, and are in harmony with the signs of the day and month. The Fire of Fire Pig day puts a worm in line 2. There are obstacles that cannot be overlooked. While conditions are good, patience is needed.
