Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 6/11/16

6/11 is the day of Wood Rat in the month of Wood Horse. This is a dangerous combination that can cause unexpected, possibly violent changes, and reversals. It also favors creativity.
This day is designated inauspicious and has destructive Qi.
The day is especially bad for any important activity, such as getting married, making fenghshui adjustments, starting renovations, moving into a new house, traveling, and burials. It carries dangers of legal problems, trouble for livestock getting injured or sick, and personal property being lost. It is also bad for gossiping, as that will lead to serious trouble.
The day is good for friendships, love affairs, art, entertainment; also retreating, solitude, meditation, and seeing the doctor.
unfavorable directions are northwest, southeast, and south. Favorable directions are northeast, north, and southwest.
Rat, the sign of this day, is the Star of Romance for Pig, Rabbit, and Sheep. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs, this is an especially good day for romantic affairs. In spite of the inauspicious indications of the day, it has the possibility of bringing pleasures.
Rat is the Commanding Star for Monkey, Rat, and Dragon. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs, this is a good day, especially if you are an artist, to take positive steps in your work.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 39, line 4.

Hexagram 39 is Cu, Impediment. Seek what is open, not closed. Perseverance brings good fortune.

Line 4 Advancing leads to trouble. Returning brings union. The zodiac signs of line 4, Monkey and Rooster are in harmony with each other. By the element of the season, they are weak; and by the element of the hexagram they signify familiar people, colleagues, siblings, friends. The feeling is social, but not strong. Monkey and Rooster are in harmony with the signs of changing lines, 5 and 6, and with the sign of the day, but neutral toward the sign of the month. The sequence, however, warns of instability. It says what goes up comes down. It means not everything is constant, and relationships can turn. The Wood of Wood Rat day puts a snake in line 4. Don't make assumptions or take things for granted, but be aware of the hidden to avoid disappointment.
